One year. One direction.

A year has passed since the official launch of The Bunker Records as a label. A year in which the original idea has begun to take shape as something tangible, built on music, exploration, releases and, above all, an increasingly clear artistic direction.

Building an identity

Int. It's been a year since the label was founded. What does this first milestone mean to you?

TB

A year might not seem like much, especially in the world of electronic music, but for us it has been an intense period. The Bunker Records was born out of the need to give a clear shape to what we do and to the music we believe in.

We didn’t just want to create another techno label. We wanted to build an identity: a space where music could take centre stage and where every release would have a purpose within a wider journey.

This first year has helped us understand even more clearly where we want to go.

Music without barriers

Int. Your digital presence is an important part of the project.

TB

Absolutely. Today, a label doesn’t exist solely through physical formats or the moment a release comes out. The work continues through platforms, podcasts, radio and everything that keeps the music moving.

On our SoundCloud and Beatport channels, we support and promote our releases and radio section, while our digital EPs are distributed simultaneously across the major digital platforms.

For us, it’s important that a release can reach listeners without barriers, regardless of how they choose to listen to music.

Radio as a connection

Int. And then there's the radio. What role does it play within The Bunker?

TB

Radio is a fundamental part of our identity. We don’t see it simply as a promotional space for releases.

It’s a place where we can tell the story of our sound more broadly, host sessions, podcasts and artists, and create connections.

A release stands the test of time, but a set, a selection or a radio session can also say a lot about an artist. That’s why we want to keep developing this side of the project.

The sound of a collective

Int. The first various artists compilation was another important step.

TB

Yes. The first various artists compilation perfectly represented the collective spirit at the heart of the project.

Bringing several artists together means creating a dialogue between different personalities while maintaining a shared direction. We weren’t necessarily looking for uniformity, but for a connection.

It was a first chapter and, at the same time, a way to declare our identity.

A new phase

Int. So what happens now?

TB

The label is now entering a new phase.

Following the first various artists compilation, The Bunker Records is preparing to welcome the next artists and productions.

Our selection will stay rooted in our vision of techno and hard techno: energy, exploration, groove, tension and, above all, authenticity.

We’re not interested in simply following what’s happening at any given moment. We’d rather build a catalogue that, over time, can tell the story of who we are.

From foundations to the future

Int. So will the second year be mainly about growth?

TB

Rather than growth, I’d call it evolution.

The first year gave us a foundation. Now we want to develop it, give artists more room, expand the catalogue and keep the label alive through music and radio.

The Bunker is an open space, but one with a clear identity.

And if the first year was about laying the foundations, now it’s time to fill The Bunker with new stories, new sounds and new artists.

The Bunker Records

The next chapter begins.
